With the flick of a switch he activates the HUD interface and system controls of his state of the art 'Viper Assault Fighter'. The cockpit springs to life with an array of flashing lights, flickering gauges, and the reassuring succession of bleeps and clicks. The jet engines fire, producing a deafening roar. Systems are go. He knows what must be done... It's fly to live... Do or die!

Steel City Collective proudly presents the new full length album from Dark Synthwave phenomenon Contre-Attaque, his second LP release since breaking onto the Synth Scene with his debut album 'Redshift' back in 2018.

'Reborn in Steel' is an exhilarating Darksynth album which itself is enhanced by a distinct metal streak, much like the featured hero Captain Spartan himself.

Rolling and diving like a fighter-jet in a dog-fight, the album explores both the lighter and heavier sides of modern Synthwave; balancing euphoric melodies with balls to the wall heavy distorted riffs.

Contre-Attaque demonstrates his musical prowess by expertly combining shredding guitar and arpeggio'd synths to produce a more progressive Future-Synth sound than other retro-inspired acts.

The album is adorned with a striking cover, designed by none other than Horror-Synth artist and SCC associate KING STEPHEN. The image personifies our intrepid pilot and represents Spartan's transformation through the album, depicting him close-up to show the cybernetic scars earned through the exhilarating battles he's fought.

Expect infectious Trance melodies and incessant Thrash riffs, accompanied by a solid thumping Electro-groove. Contre-Attaque is taking the Synth-Metal sub-genre in new directions whilst remaining true to his retro influences. This should appeal to anyone who grew up listening to Power-Metal on their walkmans, whilst digging the electronic soundtracks of their favourite 16-bit era arcade shootem-ups.
